Girls Just Want To Have Fun!

Today Rough Diamonds came to sit and sew , chat, solve all the world's quilting problems and have lots of laughs and fun! Julia just got caught on the far left, Barbara Anne always enjoys herself, and Karen far right trimmed my finished hexagon quilt of tacking threads, ready for Barb to baste it on her long-arm ready for me to start hand-quilting.
For lunch we had Roasted Vegetable Soup and Tiramisu (pictured above) - recipes compliments of jo-da-chef. Joe is Julia's son and chef extraordinaire - congratulations, Joe on your new appointment - we'll miss visiting your restaurant!
Tomorrow we have our Cancer Morning Tea for Rockingham Patchwork Group and I was going to cook again tonight - however, I have lot of yummies left over that folks will enjoy.
Today has been a sad day for Australia as we farewelled Jane McGrath, wife of Glen McGrath, a highly esteemed Australian cricketer. Jane lost her 11-year battle with breast cancer - a beautiful wife and mother and whilst battling this disease she courageously promoted Breast Cancer Awareness. God bless Jane and her family!
Best wishes everyone - Lurline.

Looks like a lovely time and a delicious meal. Isn't that a new picture of you. It is very nice. If it's been there awhile I apologize. Sometimes it takes a bit to get through my thick head.
I'm very sorry for the loss of Jane McGrath. I hadn't heard of her until recently, not being from Australia, but she must have been quite a lady for so many to grieve her loss.
