To Sew or Garden?

Uh, oh - it is such a beautiful day out there - gardening is going to win! So much else I have to do and would like to do, but I can't let a beautiful sunny day slip by!

My Green Tea and Sugar Beans BOM has arrived and doesn't it look exciting - great fabrics, too!Fiddly little blocks, but I coped last month so am feeling optimistic and if all fails, I can improvise - naughty, naughty, must think positive!

In the background, a simple but fresh and beautiful quilt by Melanie Hurlston - I love it, so that's my next project! I love my repro fabrics and projects, but with these beautiful modern fabrics about at the moment they are going to have a place in my quilting journey!

See Sherri's button on my Sidebar, A Quilting Life - don't miss out on fabulous Giveaways - these fabrics are today's! Great bag pattern by Moda, too! Pop over and visit if the fancy takes you - just click on the button!

I enjoyed a lovely day out with Girlfriends! yesterday - always great fun - have lots to do to get organized for another great day out on Saturday - wouldn't it be great if I could take sabbatical leave from family and domestic duties - won't happen!

I'm not much of a gardener so sewing would win out every time! Of course, a day out with girlfriends would trump sewing!

Ditto! I gardened all day yesterday and am BEAT, so today I wanted to just relax with some sewing. But after 10 minutes in the quilting room, everything got turned off and outside I went. Just like you said; it was too glorious of a day to let it pass by inside...

And yes---that background quilt looks FUN and new :0) Enjoy your day!

You have to make the most of the sun. It's wet here so its sewing day. I knew that bom would have great fabrics, enjoy.

Gee, Lurline, when I saw the title of your post I said to myself now I have the same problem...to sew or garden?

Well, the weather fairy made the decision for me. It's raining so I guess I'll stay inside and sew. It's about time the rain stops here. The weeds in my garden are laughing at me!

Have fun in the dirt and remember to 'take time to smell the roses.'

Hi Lurline--the comment above mine with Kaaren--made me laugh--about the weeds laughing at her!!! Any way i guess the gardening and the sunshine has to win--there are only so many days of good gardening weather each year--so don;t let it pass you--but always save some energy for quilting!!!! hugs, just, Di

Wow you got sunshine...go garden!
We are having a cold wet summer here in NY.

I hope to garden tomorrow :0)
I sewed today and cleaned off my design wall....I'm so proud of myself.

As difficult of a choice it would be, I'm certain I would have chosen sewing. Even if it was for only for an hour or so. Hope you enjoyed your day of gardening.

If it wasn't over 100 deg F I'd love to garden, also, but must stay inside until it gets cooler.
Mid summer is not my favorite time of year, you understand, and by Oct, when we really have some cool, I'll be going crazy wanting to be outside.

Hi Lurline, I love this group of quilts. Yellow, white, and little pink. So nice together. I have a question about the quilt on the right? What do you use for the center of the blocks? And are they log-cabbins? And how big? Thanks Lurline I appreciate it.

As we have had some grey weather, I might need to chose the garden but that BOM is so lovely. Where did your order the BOM?
