Girlfriends Tuesday!

This is a very jumbled Post, but let's move on! I promised I'd show a pic of my folded/origami bag - thanks to Janet and Mary Grace for your help - not quite the outcome I had in mind and maybe I was 'crying for the moon', but I fancied I could show the lovely lining and have the pockets on the inside! Never mind - it is a neat little bag and will nicely hold a few fat quarters or anything for that matter, for a Giveaway!

Whoopee! Applique block from GT&SB for August finished - AND in the best of company with my Girlfriends!
Here's Shari, our Baby Girlfriend! and of Mumsyblossom's World, with the gorgeous quilt she won recently in a raffle all the way from the USA! To all her Blogland friends - this is a typical Shari, always big smiles and happy!

Such elegance - we were delightfully entertained by Diane in her home at Fremantle - doesn't this look like a parlour scene out of time? Goodness me, a wonderful day both out and in and the sun streaming into the room - nobody posed for this shot and can you believe they are all head down and stitching!
Fremantle staged the America's Cup in 1987 after winning the Cup in 1983, so it certainly is a very charming port town to Perth!

Here's Irene, happily big-stitch quilting a Disappearing 9-Patch - I said to Irene 'love the fabrics!' - her reply 'you should, you chose them!' Oh, it a funny old world!
Lots I should do today and lots I can do - I have very itchy fingers to start my Civil War Bride Quilt - we'll see!
Happy Day!

The one picture really does look like a parlour scene out of the 1800's. Quilting and girlfriends remains the same, doesn't it?

I think your folded/origami bag is cute. Did you use a pattern to make it?

That block reaches out and grabs me. I love that it is on the newsprint fabric. It just is the unexpected.
