Sunday Stash and CWBQ!

Goodness me - chalk and cheese! Let's talk about the above - I love birdies and this fabric is 'starling' by Alexander Henry. The blue is by Lecien and the lilac/green by Kaffe! I do have an idea to put these fabrics to use.

Now, the above - exciting news about this! Lizzie from A House in the Country has developed a new blog and you must check it out - http://thecivilwarbridequilt.blogspot.com/ - The Civil War Bride Quilt!
It would be lovely to have Joiners and Visitors, please pop over and read all about it - the blog is beautifully presented by Lizzie and I hope in time to come you will get a lot of enjoyment from it! I hope to be able to help Lizzie by promoting interest in history, applique and repro fabrics and would love your input!
Maybe I had better visit my sewing machine today - so many little projects I want to do!
Happy Weekend!

Oh dear me Lurline, I had better get a move on, your block is beautiful. How different it looks with a white background! I have to get a photo taken to show you how my block is going. Lovely plug for the blog too, thanks for the accolades about it too, lol.

The Starling fabric by Alexander Henry is a keeper! For some reason, birds have been my favorite this year.

While starlings are a scourge on the Australian landscape, they look fantastic in that fabric. Looking forward to seeing you use it. And great progress on the CWB blocks! Will check out the new site...
