Happy Saturday!

How easy is it when one doesn't venture forth! This is the result with my trusty Olympus and Picasa.

I would love to be able to use pics from my ipad and iphone edited with Snapseed, but I'm not quite there yet. This pic isn't wonderful - it does show off my experiment though. This little sweetie is for our new baby boy due June 24. He will be born and live in Thailand, so I have used beautiful Yuwa and Emma Louise and Quilt Lite for batting - it is so soft and cuddly.

I hope you all manage to get a bit of stitching in over the weekend, with a bit of luck I will.

Anzac Day 2013

Today as we remember our soldiers from the past, it is with deep gratitude we send our love to those who have our welfare in their hands now - God bless!
Oopsy! Here I go again - I really have forgotten how to use Blogger and this laptop. Now all I have to do is teach myself Blogsy on my ipad.
Don't you just love Steam Punk by our own Jenny Kingwell - so far I have used freezer paper to applique the templates onto the background - for me easy-peasy, though please follow Jenny's directions as I am sure it will be the simplest way for most. I'm looking forward to all the scrappy combinations I can make from my stash.
I love using Snapseed for editing, now the black frame, I really don't know how I even put it there and I don't like it, never mind!
Can't you smell those roses? Trust me, they are divine. Grown by dear friend Teena - a lovely group of girls spent Tuesday at her place, just the best being with dear friends.
From this point I will say ta - ta as everything is pretty giddy around my signature. I have some fun stitching on the go and littlies Heidi and Byron are with Ed, Mum and I while the young ones are at two-up at the RSL, a great Aussie tradition on Anzac Day. Happy Stitching!

God Bless Boston!

After such a long time I promised myself I would blog today - and then awoke to devastating news as the rest of the world has heard. We have visited this beautiful city and have many happy memories and words cannot describe my feeling about this heinous act - with a sad heart I will carry on.
My worktable with a very favourite quilt above - yes, I am still a quilter after a forced absence. I have been very unwell for many months and discovered in a critical situation, I had a necrotic gall
bladder with attachments - however, the old Lurline is back with lots of news to share in days to come. I caught up with some of my very favourite people over the weekend, lots of laughs and good times, a few, very few bubbles and retail therapy of course!
My darling grandchildren, 17 year old twins Ayesha and Bailey in front of our place ready to take off in the Hummer for their Year 12 Formal - oh, yes, I am so very proud!

I had great difficulty uploading/downloading this Post - well, I did suffer severely with post anaesthetic psychosis, lol - yes I did, but in actual fact I mainly use my Apple ipad these days and have forgotten or Blogger has changed. Never mind, I'll get back to showing lots of pretties and I will tell you, browsing blogs has been a blessing to me in the past few months, so I thank you all, dear friends!
