Avalon 2009 - Part 1

Another great weekend - Thursday lunchtime until after Sunday lunch and a 2 hour drive home! We were a group of 24 girls staying in gorgeous accommodation and looked after by our wonderful hosts, Delvene and Peter! Thank you so much, Barb for all your organization to bring about such a memorable retreat for us all!

This stunner is Sheila's quilt made for her daughter - the top was started and finished over the weekend!
Here's Louise quilting her Christmas quilt, joined by Carole with her delightful cross-stitch!
Gloria's great block - I was so thrilled to see it as it on my 'to-do' list and I have fabrics, patterns and ruler on hand - I could jump in today and make a start, but I have to put in too much time to put in as a domestic engineer!

  1. It looks like you had a lovely time at your retreat. I loved seeing everyone's projects, so inspiring. Would you be willing to share what the pattern is for the strip pieced Dresden Plate? It really looks fun!

  10. What a productive retreat. It made me wish I was there stitching next to you. I love the 10 frogs on a leaf, and all the quilts, but expecially Gloria's block. Wow.

    I am completely jealous. I wish I could time to do this with fellow crafters. I especially love the dial pieced one.

  32. OH what a delightful get away you had--and I love all the pictures of all the projects everyone is working on--i love to see what others are doing! By the way the deseden plate block--you said you had the ruler and the pattern--can you tell me what it is--I am interested in doing one--love the looks of it!

  36. I do not drop many comments, but after reading a few of the responses here "Avalon 2009 - Part 1".
    I do have a couple of questions for you if it's allright. Could it be only me or does it look as if like some of these comments look like they are left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting at other social sites, I'd like to keep up with
