Log Cabin With Attitude!

Another finish for January - lots of activity this weekend just gone and a little sewing to boot!

I had a lot of fun making this quilt and then it seemed to hover around forever - originally it was intended for my grandson, Tyler, who is nearly 19 now - too girly 'they' thought!

There are so many great fabrics - all bits and pieces from my stash, ranging from repros to very modern Kaffe stripes! I'm sure it will find a nice home and keep some body warm, LOL!

Happy day!

  2. Great quilt! I guess I could see how "they" would think it was girly, but I don't think so. I love it!

  3. What a great quilt! I don't find it "girly" at all. The light sashing really plays nicely with all those colorful blocks. It looks like it was a lot of fun to make.

  4. Too "girly"! Really? With that black border? Please, does a single pink bit of fabric out of dozens of bits REALLY make it girly? I don't think so!

  6. Boys can be funny, I have a few that won't even have small flower prints on theirs....pooey....there goes most of my fabric. Love the quilt!

  11. Lurline that quilt is stunning, well done. I particularly like the huge visual impact that the black and white give to the other colours, really making them pop.

  17. I disagree about the "girlie" part but I'm not a teenage boy. Someone will be thrilled with it.

  20. I LOVE the quilt! I especially love the sashing and little corner blocks, plus the black border. And didn't I see backing that looked like golf balls and tees on your previous post? That's not girly. :) I just started a quilt for my 24 yr old son...picked browns and blues...and I hope he thinks it's okay as it will be a surprise gift.

  22. I love it, scrappy quilts are so much fun to make and look at. They are especially nice when you can look at them and see bits and pieces of other quilts you have made in the past.
