For Our New Baby!

No, he is not here yet - hopefully very soon, as DS, Aaron is in Thailand with Ooy and I will fly next Friday. As you would expect, I'm anxious and excited. They visit the doctor tomorrow, so maybe some news soon.

His nibs finished quilt - well almost finished - binding to be stitched, which is one off my in-flight projects.
All washed and ready to hold a little bundle of joy. Beautiful soft Yuwa and Emma Louise, it has  turned out very soft and cuddly.
The last of my roses, as pruning time has come around. It is quite cold here during the nights and we are having gorgeous, sunny days. This is our wet season, so rain must be on its way.
I've been having a lot of trouble with Anonymous Posts and consequently Emails, so if anyone has suggestions, please let me know! On the Blog Scene, what is the latest news on Google+ and will we be affected - that's those of us using Blogger - again, please help!
Back to the Studio - there's a big tidying session under way. Not my scene at all, but will be lovely to come home to.
Happy day!

Exciting News for Blogland!

Best of Show, Sydney, 2013! Janet Treen of Quiltsalott! I am probably being a bit naughty, but I'm so excited for Janet and I'm sure this will thrill you all. Her quilt has been on Facebook with the news, so it is hot off the press. Congratulations Janet - we who know her well know what a Master Quilter this girl is and she certainly deserves this wonderful honour for Ring of Roses!

I clapped my hands when I read Facebook - I'm excited but not surprised - I told her she would win!

This is one of her current Posts - another winner?

Slowly Steaming Ahead!

Hello, Lovelies! Seven blocks prepared to take to Thailand - as you know, applique yet to be done on most. So far, I'm thrilled - I have redone quite a few as the backgrounds were far too busy and I'm kind of chuffed with this quilt - I think it will get over the finish line, lol!

Roses top left - Seduction, I'm sure, naughty but nice! Bottom right,Village Green by Carolyn Gavin for P&B Textiles, just a yard of whimsy Now that was ordered a little while ago, so far, I've stayed true to my word, but maybe promises are to be broken soon,  as I hope to take a little road trip Tuesday.

Our little one in Thailand is restless, sounds like he wants to come into this big wide world - dear son flies next Tuesday - let's hope and pray Aaron is there for both of them. I'm so excited, nearly jumping out of my skin - I have chosen the name Lincoln - now don't laugh - if it is good enough for Wally Lewis, it is good enough for me, not that I will have any say at all!

I have lots to do in the days ahead and still not 100%, but look I'm so lucky, there is so much sadness out there. For now ...
