Oh, I know what I should be doing and I did make a start! I started sorting bits and pieces into projects and have romanced this far - now I have a bigger mess than ever! How ever did I learn to love the colour 'orange'? A little more time needed and then I will launch into making this gorgeous quilt!
Oopsy! Colour's a bit dull - maybe I should have taken the plastic sleeve off. I know most of you know about the blog Glorious Applique . If not - check it out - a riot of colour and glorious applique! I have a little project in mind, should be fun!
Lots of whimsy here - the pattern is for a raggedy quilt and you can see where to go for the lovely free tutorial! Though I haven't done many - I love raggedy quilts - very snuggly! And the bullseye, too - I have a retreat coming up end of November, maybe I will indulge myself in this project - hope so!
Again a beautiful day - yellow roses symbolises sunshine and it also symbolizes friendship and caring. It's the perfect innocent gift to give to a friend or give to a loved one when you simply want to say "I care". When given to a friend it also means "I'm happy with our friendship". I have seen many other interpretations of the meaning, but this one makes me happy, a little message for you again Miriam. See the delicate pink in the back, top, right-hand corner - that's Seduction, the bush was given to me by Girlfriends! and DD Angela, raids the bush every time she comes around - so very beautiful, but doesn't photograph well - maybe one day when the blooms haven't been stolen, I will take a pic on a dark background!
♥
I've decided to do a 'mini tidy-up' before the Rugby League Grand Final comes up - happy afternoon!

Love your expression "No Willpower" -- I am in that group, most definitely.
Your colours are very inspiring as well as reading you blog from time to time:-)
Oh I love the Lollipop trees! I was so tempted by it, but I'm holding out for the Stars and Sprigs. Or the Hearts and Flowers. That is, in the unlikely event that I start a Kim Mclean quilt. lol! I want to and dream about it, but am too busy stitching instead! Love your fabrics! And the other project looks like fun too!
Kim McLean designs the best quilts! I really should learn to needle-turn... just the Lollipop Trees! and your roses are looking fantastic...
Lots of beautiful projects in mind!! So glad you have learned to love orange it is a fantastic color. Love the sunny yellow roses.
The yellow roses in the bottom photo somewhat match the yellow rose in the orange kaffe fabric. Orange is one of my favorite colors, too!
I'm sure adore the Lollipop Trees. That's a favorite of mine. Going to be fun, fun, fun. Pretty flowers, too. It was nice to read what yellow roses symbolize. Delightful. (*I'm an orange girl. sunshiny and bright it is to me! I even have orange walls in my house. hee)
Bet my mess is worse....have been going between trying to copy stitchery, to machine embroidery to finding suitable designs to collecting rose fabrics.....and feeling as if I have achieved nothing.
The West is way ahead of us in roses if those are out now. I have not been outside since Thur but have not seen buds as yet.
Lollypop Trees has been on my wish list for some time now! I LOVE her style!!!
I have fabric envy! Love the orange fabric. I've been following the Glorious Color blog too. Amazing color.
"Out of chaos comes calm” I so love to see pictures of your roses! So beautiful.

your roses are to die for......I am having trouble with all mine except 1. must see how you look after yours
I love yellow roses. This applique quilt is not for the faint of heart. I've been seeing it on the Material OBsessions blog.
Lollypop Trees looks amazing! I cannot wait to see your progress on it, as you make such lovely fabric choices, Lurline.
I bet the lollypop trees will be a snap after the Green Tea and Sweet Beans. I've been admiring this pattern and want to do it some day. Love your yellow roses.
Love your yellow roses -- I think they are my favorites! Fall is coming here and I'm really liking the cooler weather!
Beautiful roses, beautiful fabrics, and knowing you they will no doubt be awesome quilts. What is it with messes. I keep thinking that if I finish some projects and get them out of here my mess will diminish, but so far it's not working that way. I'm thinking of moving my husband's desk and some furniture into my present bedroom/sewing room, and moving my sewing room into our family room which is almost twice as large. Does that mean I'll just have bigger messes, lol.
Lollypop trees looks so pretty and I love the fabric. It's always nice to get organized.
