That's true, but that's okay - look what the mailman just brought me - a new BOM from Amitie Textiles and a new pattern I couldn't resist! What a lovely way to spend an evening and weekend - I'll have a nice browse of the patterns this evening and I have my weekend all planned! A little Glorious Applique will happen, too - a funny/not-so-funny little story to be told there. Oh, how gorgeous! - a bright happy mood makes it even more exciting! This week has brought a few upsets and tears, but I can feel all the gloom slipping away very quickly! I think these pics tell their own story - very bold, but I am in that mood as I have been working with Kaffe's.
Love the look of this quilt, Museum Applieque - thought while I was ordering from Amitie I should get them to put the pattern in the parcel - it is certainly a beautiful antique design so should I get out of this bright, modern mode, I have lots of repro fabrics to use.
My lovely friend Robin has machine stitched the binding on my gorgeous quilt below - now I give myself very little credit for this quilt, but I really do love it. I was raised to believe self-praise is no recommendation and try to be humble about my quilting. Okay - design by gorgeous Kate of One Flew Over, most fabrics by Kaffe (they were out of the cupboard, too!) and quilting by Karen of Quilts on Bastings. It is certainly over-exposed on my blog - one more when it is hung hopefully over the weekend! Hey, I did do the piecing and it must be pretty accurate as the circles are beautifully aligned, so I will take a little credit, lol! Mess!

Love the first block. It looks like the block that I posted a couple of days ago, just different fabrics. It is a fun and easy one to make! Can't wait to see yours come together. Wow, 4 hours of cleaning, you will be one tired lady, but I know the satisfaction that you will feel.
Oh I don't blame you for breaking down and getting that BOM! What fun! Hope you get all the messes cleaned up. I read your story about what happened with your mum on the Glorious Applique blog. Thank goodness no one was hurt and your DD could help! Tell your mom to take it easy and let you do the watering chores from now on. :D
I like the idea of tidying up Once and For All. I did that. Many times. :)

Love those Kaffes. I understand completely why you made your purchases!
It looks like an organised mess to me - you should see my studio!!! Love the Museum Medallion pattern. Happy stitching!
Happy tidying! It will be so much better when it's done. (That's what I tell myself when I tidy!)
I'm sure by now your tidying is all done and you're happily focused on sewing and sewing and more sewing. Relax and enjoy. You have great projects ahead of you, and we'll enjoy watching your progress.
Gorgeous quilt Lurline! Great purchases! The mess looks quite organized to me there Lurline... 8-)
The Kaffe fabrics are wonderful. That wallhanging with the black background, what pattern did you use? I love it!

Hi Lurline, I would be happy if my mess looked that tidy and it would take me much longer than 4 hours to sort out. Lovely eye candy.
Shirley.
The Circle Game looks like such a fun quilt, and a little challenging... it will look wonderful in your capable hands... and dear Girlfriend, I would take your mess over my mess any day... you are so organised!!
It is so easy to get piles. I constantly have to clean up after myself. Love what you are making. So beautiful.
Lurline you are busy as ever, hope you get all this work done.
cheers
Christine
