I haven't had a lot of time for stitching and the hot weather is not conducive to doing anything very much - oh, that aircon has been running happily, thank goodness! Summer hasn't been very kind to us in Western Australia, though in many ways we have been so fortunate! I'm plodding along with handwork and anxious to get to the machine - with a bit of pressing the first block of the Circle Game kinda looks okay! I love working with the bright fabrics.
Two new books - I'm quite fascinated with Scandinavian Stitches!
Look at my poor baby Byron - the doctor had to do his stitches - he had been very brave until he saw Nanny and then it was time for nursing and cuddling - I'm so happy the little ones look to me for comfort still! He's seven on 2 March - isn't it just lovely he can be comforted by a knitted toy at times like this.

Nanny is the best in knowing what is comforting for Byron! What a cutie! Love the Circle Game!
Nothing like a hug from Nanny. Such a cute little fellow. Did you end up trying out the go cutter?
Oh poor Byron! Ouch! I'm glad the little knittie and Nanny could comfort him. I love the Circle Game so much. I wish I were doing it myself but I doubt I'm capable of it. Gorgeous!

As your grandson gets older, he will take pride in the scars and wear them like badges of honor with many a story to tell. Boys!
Until then, it's wonderful to have a grandmother who brings comfort.
Nice to have you back for a little bit.

Poor Byron, they love their Nana's sympathy don't they. Your blocks look wonderful, I hope you're enjoying the stitches. I've seen the Scandinavian book in a couple of places but I left it on the shelf, not having time to look at it properly.
Your block is stunning! A hug from Nana is always wonderful, and no one is too old for a stuffed toy.
