'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass - it's about learning how to dance in the rain!'
I think that will have to be my life's motto for the moment - two very precious people in my life, DH and Mum are being very naughty and keeping me from socializing and quilting! I am on a steep learning curve and coping, just! Oh, my new eye is behaving beautifully, thanks!
Above - about maybe 12" to go to finish the knitted edge for my quilt to go into the QuiltWest Exhibition - maybe I'll manage to finish today, if I am not rudely interrupted!
I visited purple and paisley , cute little boo is using sewing cards! I'm very surprised to see they are about in this day and age - a lovely Post, worth checking out. I have been asked about DUQ - that's the abbreviation for Down Under Quilts! In my Profile, featured in this magazine, I talked about remembering my first sewing experience - card sewing it was!
Without sounding too boring, I hope, I thought I would pass on that free Issue 131 2009 is online now, http://www.downunderquilts-digital.com/ - I hope this gets you there, so pop over to see it if you fancy it's just that I have had comments about it already, so some may be interested!
How cute is this? - I received an email this morning from dear ex-Canadian friend (she's an Aussie now, but still boasts about being Canadian, and back home, etc. - lol!) - Louise thinks it's Sisters and Girlfriends Day and this pic formed part of the email - dear wee things doing a Marilyn Monroe, dummy and all - I just love it!
♥
Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Just about an angel quilt finish! Good for you Lurline!
Now if we can just take the naughty out of DH and Mum and make them the angels to push you towards socializing and quilting, all will be good! lol! 8-)
Happy stitchings!
PS: thanks for your comment on my Gazebo Stitchery... 8-)
The angel quilt is adorable.
I love your motto for the moment. I will have to use this in my life. I love your angel quilt also. It is beautiful.
I love watching storms and being in the summer rain. I've never thought to link them to life. That is a great motto.

Lurline,
Your knitted quilt edge I SERIOUSLY LOVE and hope to do one day. It's dainty and delicate and heirloom or bridal or baptismal. I'm so early-morning-inspired.
Your Blog makes me so happy! I have to check out the magainze, too. I'll do that later today. Off to the Dr this morning. Bor-ing!
Have a wonderful joyful day. Personally, I'm glad I chose your Blog as the first one of the day. Wise choice. Great place to start the day off.
I agree with karendianne...your angel quilt has an heirloom look. I can't imagine how you attach it to the edge of your quilt. Very clever. Terri's grandkids are so cute and very obviously loved and perhaps future craft experts.
the angel quilt is very unique. I've read the article on you and your quilts, it was a tribute to you and the quilts all look wonderful.
You've been a busy girl! Don't over do it!
Hugs - Shari

I have never seen a knitted edge on a quilt. Is this exclusive to you or is it a trend in your area?
