Last Day of Winter!

The second block of my Civil War Bride Quilt is finished - loved, loved, loved doing it! Now to choose another block to start on!

Christmas fabric? - yes, and isn't it just beautiful!

Still on Christmas and the reds - from dear Jane - see Jane's Fabrics on my Sidebar - just click if you would like to have a peep! I love these little girls on the red background!

Am I crazy? - I have taken the monumental leap and I am going to try to become a little more technologically savvy! Off to the bookshop tomorrow to buy Photoshop for Dummies and to try to enrol in a short course!

The Recency Dandy Giveaway has closed - through the week I found another two fabrics from the range to add. Now I have to work out how to select a winner - maybe I will have to try to find that number generator thingy!
I think we are all looking forward to a little spring weather here - yesterday was soooo cold! Very drab here today and pretty cold, too - maybe a little sunshine will appear later in the day!
Hoping for a happy week ahead for you all!

Lurline, the Civil War Bride block is beautiful. I started mine last night and will go over to Lizzie and sign up. Good on you for getting PSE 7. They are many training courses online. I did one on Digital collage from Creative Workshop (link on my blog Rags to Riches). Have fun Lurline. Hugs Natima

I just found your blog via Material Obsession and I'm enjoying my first visit. That block is really beautiful, and I love the red and white fabric :-)
I bought Photoshop Elements a couple of months ago, and was completely lost until I came across the book "Photoshop Elements 7 - The Missing Manual" by Barbara Brundage. It is well written and things are explained in a way anyone can understand, so even I have learned a lot... I can really recommend it.

The block is gorgeous Lurline. Here in the northern hemisphere the end of summer is near. In three weeks fall starts officially. I don't like the heat we had this summer so I am glad it is cooling down and evenings are getting longer.

A lovely block. Once you get the hang of it - I heartily recommend a course (I took one at our local community college) - you are going to love using Photoshop. After a hot, often rainy, summer I'm looking forward to some crisp fall weather here in Canada.

Well, haven't you been a busy little bee! Love the Civil War Bride block. Your Christmas prints are very nice. I especially like the little girls. Good luck in learning how to use Photoshop Elements. I use graphic programs, but I'm not familiar with this one. Those two additions to your give-away are beautiful.

Love your CWBQ block, Lurline. And you finished it so quickly.
Those little Christmas gals on the red fabric remind me of something from my youth -- maybe a storybook? some tin toy dishes? They're so cute.
Our temp's here in the upper Midwest are starting to drop at night. Fall will be here way too soon.

I hope you have a great time with photoshop, I know I should do something like that but I am such a technophobe that it's amazing I have a blog LOL!
