Perhaps a brave step, but I am enjoying it! This is a small quilt designed by Sarah Fielke and shown in her book Quilting from little things ... This book has quite a few great projects, so all in all a good investment!
The eagle has been pressed over freezer paper and is ready for stitching tonight. Then to quilt - will it be by machine or Perle 8 by hand - we'll see how we go for time. I really do like the pieced background - gives me itchy fingers to do more!
I haven't managed to get much sewing done this week - even though I have no car now, I have still managed a couple of days out - just lovely! These gorgeous blooms, Angel Face, have been picked now and adorn my tidy bedroom - oh, what a mess it was! - not only does it smell gorgeous, it is just lovely to be greeted by pretty roses, too. Happy day everyone, I hope to get back into some sewing again tomorrow!

Lovely to see such beautiful roses when we have so much rain and falling leaves here in Oregon. Your little quilt is such fun. I have been having a two years much like yours.
My computer blew up last week along with the second washing machine, the kitchen faucet and the woodstove. How can you break a wood stove you might ask? You use it so much because the heat pump broke two years ago and it blew out a big hole in the stack and we cant quite afford to replace our heater/air on top of all of the appliances going out at once. And yes..the car, too. it has heat and air...only both at once!

Sometimes, life gives us so many lemons we could either grow a grow of trees or make many pitchers of lemonade ;) hugs to you that things get better!!!
I like the fabrics that the background is composed of.
The rose is just beautiful. I can almost smell it.
