This has been quite a productive week - well, for me anyway. Big footy finals here this weekend - I'm not a big fan, though I do like NRL, only because of the Broncos, stirs up lovely memories of my home state, Queensland. So, I am spending time on my quilting!
This is falling into place beautifully - great fun pulling out all the pretty fabrics from my stash. I'm sure I won't have to buy more fabrics for this project, though you know I would if I had to, tee hee! The block are 9" finished, so perhaps finished quilt will be 54" x 63", we'll see! I don't do really big quilts because of body limitations and they taker too long to do anyhow!
Elina has come into my life - a little cheapie, but she is very nice, shame she's missing built-in scissors. She does pack a wee bit of weight, but not too bad - my Big Girl, Janome Memorycraft 6600 is just gorgeous, but too heavy to transport. If I didn't have the Janome, I think I could live with just Elina.
I am now going to have a glass of wine and pop on my iPad to say hello to you Lovelies who commented on my last Post. Happy weekend and may your footy team win, lol!
Lost my signature again - big hugs, Lurline♥

Ridiculously beautiful blocks!
And you are going to sew these all together, right?
Lurline you r blocks are coming along nicely, well done.xx
Love your zig zag blocks. Beautiful! Congrats on your little Elna too!
Lovely, charming blocks. You make everything a little more special. Looks like a nice machine, it's nice to have a backup that you can work with happily.
I adore your blocks Lurline, thinking seriously about making some of them. Your fabrics are divine. I own the janome 6500p and it too is way too heavy to take to classes. Enjoy your new little machine. xo
Your blocks are lovely. I only do big quilts when I want a new one for my bed. Your little machine will be much easier to carry.
Lurline,
This is the first I have seen made with all Kaffe fabrics and it is looking so stunning! I remember those days of heavy machine and having to carry them to my classes. Wish I had thought of buying a light weight portable machine then.
Good for you! Enjoy that baby.
Your zig zags are coming along gorgeously and stash is proving very worthwhile. Glad you got Elina for carrying to classes - just makes sense to leave the heavy weight at home. I no longer make big quilts either - have more important things to do with my time - like make two small ones. LoL Happy weekend from Judy C in NC
I love your blocks - eclectic, colourful, high contrast and low contrast is really interesting! Keep them coming!
You have more fun 'losing' things don't you????
neat zig zag blocks you are doing!!
and I like your new Elina sewing buddy!!!
Hugs,Di and miss gracie
Fun, happy zig zag! love it!
Your zig zag blocks are gorgeous. Well done you! love Janine x
I love your blocks Lurline.
I bought a Janine 760P, a small and lightweight machine, which I use all the time and take to classes, it is a lovely machine, which I would recommend.
Your zigzag is beautiful!
Your zig zag blocks are very pretty. must be fun pulling them from your stash. Elina looks great I have 2 Janomes , a Quilters Companion and a Memory Craft and one is lighter than the other. I just swap from one to the other.
It is turning out so well--love your fabric choices.
Isn't it a fun quilt to make? Mine is plodding along, but I hope to finish the top next week--made with recycled shirts.
